Clear Lake Kids Psychiatry serves patients between the ages of 4 and 18 in the Clear Lake, Houston, TX area. Clear Lake Kids Psychiatry helps children and adolescents with a wide variety of conditions and concerns including ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and Asperger syndrome.

Jeanne Russell, PA-C and Elliott Schwartz, PA-C are the providers at Clear Lake Kids Psychiatry. They collaborate with Dr. Codie Vassar, a psychiatrist, for cases that require additional input.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is the most commonly seen disorder at Clear Lake Kids Psychiatry. Evidence based studies have demonstrated that a combination of parent and child education, as well as therapy and medication if needed, is the most effective way to treat ADHD. Jeanne Russell, PA-C

Jeanne Russell, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant with more than 23 years of experience in the medical field. Her extensive experience in general pediatrics has given her a very wide knowledge of all pediatric conditions and disorders. Clients can get help with a range of issues including ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and Asperger syndrome. Ms. Russell’s passion is her patients, and her goal is to help each young patient to reach the best possible state of psychological well-being.

Elliott Schwartz, PA-C

Elliott Schwartz, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant serving patients between the ages of 4 and 18 in Houston, Texas, at Clear Lake Kids Psychiatry.

Elliott majored in psychology with a minor in neuroscience during his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University. He then earned his PA from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Insurances

The in-network insurance providers that we are credentialed with include Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Cigna. We also accept out-of-network benefits and self pay. It is necessary that you check with your insurance company to review the schedule of benefits and whether a co-payment or deductible applies. Our services are under Mental Health Benefits. Please call us if you have any questions regarding your specific insurance plans.

First visit. Definitely not disappointed! Dr.Schwartz was informative and helpful. He made sure my son felt comfortable. The most important thing was that my son liked him enough to talk to him, which is extremely difficult for him with people he doesn't know.

Dr. Elliot Schwartz is wonderful to work with! He listens, understands, and empathizes with the struggles you and your child are going through. He uses precaution when prescribing medication, and likes to start with the least invasive approach. With that being said, if the treatment plan doesn’t work then he is more than willing to adjust treatment until you get the help and relief you and your child need. I feel so strongly about his professionalism and approach that I would recommend him to anyone. It can be difficult to find a Dr. you can trust, but Dr. Elliott is definitely one on my list.

Dr. Elliot Schwartz was wonderful with my daughter. We both felt very comfortable and at ease with him. He was attentive, kind, informative, and genuinely seemed to enjoy my daughter's goofy personality whereas most doctors would probably have been annoyed with how she naturally handles situations that have the potential to be uncomfortable. We didn't have to wait past our appointment time to be seen either, which is rare in the medical field. My son will be seeing him as well. Can't recommend enough!!
